The effective super-fast Mobile Broadband 3 is the future

February 27th, 2009
Angelina Maben asked:

Technology is transforming at a blurring pace as we witness excellent gadgetry inventions from new brands and designers making lives easier for the common people around us. With Mobile Broadband coming into the picture, you can now make yourself free from wires; hotspots and all other entanglement inconveniences. For your convenience; Mobile Broadband came into the picture on 11th December 2002, with the IEEE Standards Board approving the establishment of IEEE 802.20, the Mobile Broadband Wireless Access (MBWA) Working Group.

In fact it is Mobile Broadband 3 that has paved way for super quick access to the Internet and your email requirements can be fulfilled in a jiffy! Mobile broadband, in simple words is used to describe various modes of wireless high-speed internet access through a portable modem, telephone or other device. Various network standards may be used, such as GPRS, 3G, WiMAX, LTE UMTS HSPA, EV-DO and other portable satellite-based systems.

The motivating part of Mobile Broadband 3 section is that a plethora of telecommunication manufacturers, mobile phone producers, chipset manufacturers and notebook manufacturers have joined hands to provide an impetus to the built-in support for Mobile Broadband technology on notebook computers. Basically, devices such as PC data cards, USB modems, USB sticks, phones with data modems and portable devices (notebooks and similar) come with built-in support for Mobile Broadband.

3 Plug n Play Mobile Broadband Modem - Pay as you go is an outstanding new dongle that sports a handy microSD memory card slot, meaning that it can double up as a memory stick as well. With the new Birdstep dashboard, you can also provide a link from their desktop straight through to MP3 and a broadband dashboard which automatically updates itself to a new version when available.

The biggest advantage that you get is that everything auto-installs, which means you get on the web even quicker than before. And when you’re in a Turbo Network you can get broadband internet access speeds of up to 3.6MBps. But then to make effective use of Mobile Broadband, your computer or laptop needs a minimum of 50MB hard disk space, 1 free USB port, a Windows 2000, XP, Vista or and Mac OSX operating system.

In addition, you can avail the benefit of the amazing user-friendly Modem Manager interface that not only manages your connection, but also displays all the messages you receive on your mobile broadband number. You can even reply to your text messages while logged in.

There is an unprecedented demand for Mobile Broadband in the mobile networks in the major emerging markets as it delivers high-speed internet access to the mass market. Also, the global Third Generation Partnership Project (3GPP) family of standards - which includes GSM, EDGE, WCDMA, HSPA and LTE – is the most widespread way to deliver mobile broadband. 3GPP standards are serving about 90 percent of the world’s mobile subscribers. http://www.blueunplugged.com/c.aspx?c=57108

As technology continues to evolve tremendously, Mobile broadband is expected to be utilized to help spread broadband coverage to the more remote areas of the world.

Ipod Nano Review

February 23rd, 2009
Josh R Evans asked:

First impressions

The curved design, for instance, calls to mind the MacBook Air and gives the impression that the iPod nano is even thinner than its modest 6.2 mm (0.24 inch). The aluminium and glass body, combined with the new shape and a weight of just 36.8 grams (1.3 ounces), also make the iPod nano comfortable to use. The one possible drawback to the comfort factor, though, is the sharpness of the corners. This shouldn’t be a problem unless you have the iPod nano in a pocket and it jabs you as you sit down.

The corners are a minor niggle, however, and perhaps an inevitable aspect of a design that places the iPod nano screen in an “upright” position. The display, in fact, is the same as the third generation iPod nano horizontal widescreen – but round the other way.

When you switch on the iPod nano and work through the menu, it’s clear that this change to the screen’s orientation has led to improvements. The Preview Panel, for example, is smaller and allows significantly more space for menu titles and item names. You can even deactivate the Preview Panel for yet more display space.

These enhancements come hand in hand with a larger font size, a revamped layout, and new graphics. The overall result is an iPod that’s simpler to navigate than its predecessors.

Features

Simplicity is always welcome, as are features that boost the pleasure of using an iPod. The nano has three new features in particular that are well worth a look.

Genius is a piece of software available with iTunes 8 that now runs on fourth generation iPod nanos. The best way of summarising Genius is to say that you can choose a song and let Genius recommend music that goes well with it. Genius also creates 25, 50, or 100 song playlists based on these suggestions.

Another key extra relates not to music but to video. You may already be wondering about the advisability of playing videos on the iPod nano’s vertical screen. Apple’s answer is straightforward: you put the iPod nano on its side, to either the left or right. A built-in accelerometer takes note and broadcasts your video in normal widescreen format.

If you’re searching in the main or Music menus, the accelerometer also brings Cover Flow onto your screen when you tilt the iPod nano through 90 degrees. You can then search for an album by browsing the covers (which appear in alphabetical order).

The games players among you will immediately recognise the potential of the accelerometer. Sure enough, you can now move the iPod nano, from side to side for instance, to help you negotiate the challenges of games such as Klondike, Maze, and Vortex.

A further technique now available thanks to the accelerometer is “shake to shuffle”. Give the iPod nano an energetic shake when you’re listening to music, and you’ll hear your songs in random order.

This does raise the issue of whether your iPod nano will switch to Shuffle mode when you’re jogging or at the gym. Tests show this doesn’t happen: you need to wave your iPod nano fairly enthusiastically to activate “shake to shuffle”. In any event, if you’re concerned about this you can simply press the nano’s Hold switch to turn “shake to shuffle” off.

The final new feature of the iPod nano is Spoken Menus. This improves the nano’s usability for people with visual impairments (as do other accessibility features such as the white on black video captions and the availability of a larger font).

Spoken Menus tells you what you’re browsing. It gives you the titles of menus, songs, albums, and artists, and lets you know when the battery is running low. All in all, it’s an impressive addition.

Technology

The fourth generation iPod nano’s screen is the same as the preceding model: a two inch LCD with LED backlight, and 320 x 240 pixel resolution at 204 pixels per inch. This still keeps the screen at the forefront of available technology.

With storage Apple has improved capacity by doubling it for the two new iPod nano models to 8GB and 16GB. This means you can place up to 2,000 or 4,000 songs in 128Kbps AAC format on your nano; 7,000 or 14,000 iPod suitable photos; or 8 or 16 hours of video. When you bear in mind that you can also store items in your iTunes library, you have more than enough room for daily use.

Performance

The screen may have the same technology as the third generation, but there’s nothing wrong with this. Picture outlines are sharp, and the colours vivid. The edges curve slightly to match the styling of the nano’s aluminium body, but there’s no evident picture distortion. And although the screen’s covering is now glass, it resists glare and provides clear images.

Audio quality with the iPod nano’s standard earphones is easily as good as the excellent sound reproduced by the third generation models. If you have the good fortune to own top of the range headphones, however, you’ll notice that the fourth generation nano is better because it eliminates background hiss almost completely.

As for power, tests show you can squeeze about 25% - 30% more life from the new iPod nano battery than Apple’s official figures of 24 hours for audio and 4 hours for video. Add this to a charge time of just one and half hours to 80% capacity, and three hours to full charge, and you have a long-lasting and easily revived digital media player.

Conclusion

Once again, Apple has produced an iPod that sets a high standard for others to follow.

Pros

Great range of colours

Distinctive design change

Lightweight

Improvements to accessibility

New features such as Genius and the accelerometer

More storage

Good battery life

Cons

New shape has sharp corners and may not appeal to everyone

Cell Phone Etiquette

February 18th, 2009
K. Lynn asked:

Cell phones have made their way into all aspects of our culture in a, sometimes, rather invasive way. The constant use of cell phones has led many businesses to post signs stating that cell phone usage is prohibited in their location. Following a few basic etiquette rules about your cell phone usage will ensure that you never offend those around you.

Restaurants

There is now a growing trend among restaurants to institute a no cell phone policy during dining hours. Before sitting down, you might want to check the restaurants policy on cell phone usage during the dinner service. If you absolutely have to be reachable during your dinner you can put your phone on vibrate so as not to disturb your dining companions. If you do accept a call, speak softly and keep the calls brief; letting the caller on the other end know you are trying to enjoy dinner.

Movie Theatres

Before the feature attraction starts, almost all movie theatres display messages on the screen urging their guests to be courteous and turn off their cell phones for the duration of the movie. If you are waiting for an urgent message or phone call, turn your phone on vibrate and be sure to exit the theatre before answering the call. No one wants to be the center of attention for being the inconsiderate person who interrupts the movie.

Restrooms

It may sounds unusual, but with the urge to be constantly reachable many cell phone users have extended their cell phone use to include the moments where they really should be considerate of the privacy of others! There are very few reasons to use your cell phone when you are in a public restroom, be considerate not only of the other people in the public restroom but of the caller on the other end.

Zoos, Aquariums, Museums

Spending a day with your family at a zoo or museum is great for educational family time; however, spending most of the day glued to your cell phone is not only inconsiderate of the needs of your family, but also to others spending time in the zoos, aquariums, and museums. Spend the time with your family, not with your cell phone.

School

Middle schools and high schools have restricted the usage of cell phones on their campus; often forbidding cell phone usage outright. However, the restrictions in colleges are a little more lenient. Be considerate of not only of the time of your lecturers but also of the time of your classmates; they are there to learn, not to listen to you telling your buddy all about your date last night.

Social Functions

If you are attending a party or even something as informal as a backyard barbeque, it is just common courtesy to turn off your cell phone. If you are expecting a phone call that cannot wait until after the social function, let your host know that you are expecting a call. When you do receive the call be sure to excuse yourself politely to take the call; talking loudly on the phone while in someone else’s home is beyond inconsiderate; it’s rude.

Hospital And Doctors Offices

Most hospitals post signs instructing visitors to turn off their cell phones; this is not necessarily because the phones interfere with sensitive equipment, even though often they do. It is more because cell phones can interfere with patients who have to listen to someone talking loudly and rudely. Turn off your phone while in a hospital or doctors office, for the consideration of those around you.

When you are in social situations, try to think of your cell phone as only to be used in case of emergencies. All other phone calls can be sent to voicemail for checking at a later point.

Sat Nav Devices – Directs you to Drive Safe

February 15th, 2009
Samuel Herrick asked:

One of the most popular car accessories, the Sat Nav devices, help you travel without missing your directions. These devices guide the travelers with great features like turn-by-turn voice directions, with highlighting various important points like ATM’s, hotels, hospitals etc. These devices are a great help when one is traveling to an unknown location with great comfort.

These devices use the GPS (geo spatial system) system to locate directions and guide you while you travel. The satellite navigation receivers combine signals from various satellites and use techniques like Kalman filtering to filter dynamic data into a single estimated value for determining velocity, time and position. The sat nav systems use small electronic receivers to determine the location within few meters by using time signals from satellites.

Several well known brands like Garmin, Road angel, Tom-tom and Navman etc. have ventured with the latest sat nav devices with highly interactive menus, safety camera locations and large touch screens. The systems are robust and can be operated directly into the cars.

The sat nav devices helps the drivers keep a check on their speed and ensures their safety while driving. Along with these primary features the Sat Nav technology is now being used for finding business addresses and sending them to portable devices. With your Sat Nav devices you can plan a trip to your city, search for accommodation, hospitals etc.

The Sat Nav devices use GPS and help you reach your destination and suggest the shortest route for your journey. One just needs to decide one’s destination and the device will guide you which direction to take turn by turn using speech and screen directions. In case you miss a turn, the system can recalculate the alternative route and guide you. And you’ll never get stuck in the jam with help of a real time traffic feed.

Cancer and Cell Phone Radiation. What is the Truth?

February 12th, 2009
Paul Fitzgerald asked:

Ronald Herberman, director of the University of Pittsburgh Cancer Institute, shocked just about all law-abiding scientists (abiding by laws of physics, that is) with his warning last week to his faculty and staff that cell phones might pose a cancer risk.

This is troublesome because this time a really smart person is saying it, not just another nutcase.

The basics still ring true, and Herberman admitted as much: There’s no convincing evidence that cell phone radiation causes cancer. Nor is there plausible biological or physical reasoning for why it would cause cancer.

Herberman said his warning is based on early, unpublished data from a 13-country study on cell phone use. Scientists tend to be wary of preliminary results, and many are scratching their heads over why Herberman would make such a stern and public warning now.

Herberman countered that until there’s definitive proof that cell phones are harmless, users should practice some caution.

Play it safe Herberman’s recommendations to minimize exposure are a godsend, but not for the reasons he intended. Limit conversations to a few minutes? Yes, particularly when it’s about some stupid shoe sale you need to tell everyone about. Avoid cell phone use in buses and trains to limit second-hand exposure? Yes, particularly when I’m trying to sleep.

Limit use in cars, because high speeds force the phone to maximize power to find relay stations? Yes, yes: Let’s shorten the bumper sticker reading “Shut up and drive” to just “shut up.” This will definitely save lives as fewer chatty drivers means fewer deadly traffic accidents.

If only Crazy Frong ringtone caused cancer.

Yet how cautious must we be? Devra Lee Davis, Herberman’s colleague, told the Associated Press, “The question is do you want to play Russian roulette with your brain.”

Sounds frightening, but Russian roulette is played with one bullet in a six-shooter. Cell phone Russian roulette has perhaps one bullet in a gun that can hold several million.

Einstein and cell phones far from a scientific-illiterate technophobe, Herberman is author or co-author of over 700 peer-reviewed cancer articles dating back to the 1960s. He’s smarter than me and likely you.

Yet Einstein, in a way, disproved the notion that cell phone radiation causes cancer. It’s called the photoelectric effect: Light is composed of photons which, when above a threshold energy, can dislodge electrons from atoms for example, break chemical bonds in DNA and cause cancerous mutations.

That threshold energy is near the ultraviolet part of the electromagnetic spectrum, thousands of times more energetic than cell phone radio waves. UV, X-rays and gamma rays cause cancer. These photons are like golf balls, whereas radio photons are like cotton balls. You can throw millions of cotton balls against a window; it just won’t break.

Heated arguments and hoaxes despite myriad studies showing no increased cancer risk from up to 20 years of cell phone use, some scientists continue to probe as they should, given the omnipresence of cell phones.

One alternate theory is that heat generated by cell phones can cook brain cells. This notion inspired a well-known hoax a decade ago, a demonstration of how two cell phones could cook an egg in 65 minutes. The lark seemed plausible and was illustrated in a series of stills on the Internet.

Then Cardo Systems, a provider of Bluetooth headsets, made videos of cells phones teaming up in groups of threes or fours to pop popcorn. Kernels are digitally removed from the video as popped popcorn is dropped onto the table. This publicity stunt proved successful enough to convince many of the power of cell phone radiation.

One problem with the heat theory is that the sun can heat your head far more efficiently than a cell phone. And your body does a rather decent job at regulating heat, anyway.

Cancer calling each type of living tissue absorbs radiation at a different frequency. So it is plausible that cell phone radiation bypasses the skin and skull and is absorbed selectively by brain tissue.

But scientists see only marginal evidence for changes at the cellular level induced by cell phone radiation in Petri dishes, fruit flies and mice. Similarly in human studies, such as the 13-country study Herberman was privy to, called INTERPHONE, there is at best only an inkling of evidence that cell phones might cause cancer if you use them long enough, for 30 or more years.

If there’s a cancer association, it might be from the stress of being plugged in to a cell phone 24/7. We need to relax.

No one seems to mention how many lives are saved by cell phones. Police and emergency crews are informed of trouble nearly instantly now. Banning the technology would be shortsighted.

But seeing how millions of people still smoke and have unprotected sex, despite warnings, Herberman’s message likely won’t make a dent in changing behavior.

How to Fix a Broken Ipod

February 11th, 2009
Alexandru asked:

The sad face appears on your iPod screen. You hear a clicking sound (the sound of the hard drive having difficulty spinning).

Have you had these 3 problems going on with your iPod? Then this method just might make your iPod start working again!

Steps

1. Turn your iPod on. Make sure the battery is charged up enough to turn it on.

2. The sad iPod or sad folder should pop up on the screen.

3. Put your ear up against the iPod and you will hear the clicking sound inside (it sounds like a car trying to start up, whenever it takes a few tries turning the keys)

4. While the iPod is still making these sounds, take the iPod in one hand, open the palm of your other hand, and smack the narrow side of the iPod against the palm of your other hand. [WARNING: This method is proven to work as an effortless way to repair iPod hard drive misalignment, but it may result in future hardware problems. This is only a TEMPORARY solution to fixing an iPod, and the problem may come back (experiences vary). Other methods of reviving a dead iPod are available below and may be much safer]

5. Continue smacking it on its side for at least 6 times, while the iPod is trying to turn on. The key is to loosen the hard drive.

6. After this is should resume normal function. If it doesn’t, read below.

7. There are several methods out there that have all successfully fixed iPods, so don’t give up hope yet.

8. If, however, you are a more hands-on type of person and don’t want to bother trying iPod aid through your computer, skip to the bottom of this steps page for info on how to open and repair internally.

9. The first reccomended steps are from Apple’s support website.

1. Try to wait 30 minutes while iPod is charging.

2. Try another FireWire or USB through Dock Connector cable.

3. Try another FireWire or USB port on your computer .

4. Try to disconnect all devices from your computer’s FireWire and USB ports.

5. Try to download and install the latest version of iPod software and iTunes. http://www.apple.com/ipod/download/

6. Try these five steps (known as the five Rs) and it would conquer most iPod issues. http://www.apple.com/support/ipod/five_rs/

7. Try to put the iPod into Disk Mode if it fails to appear on the desktop. http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=93651

10. If none of the above has worked for you, then you should try the following:

1. Try to connect your iPod with another computer with the iPod updater pre-installed.

2. Still can’t see your iPod, put it in Disk Mode and connect with a computer, instead of doing a Restore on iPod Updater. Go and format the iPod instead.

1. For Mac computer:

1. Open the disk utility, hope your iPod appears there (left hand side), highlight it

2. Go to Tab “Partition”, click either “Delete” or “Partition”, if fails, skip this step and go to 3

3. Go to Tab “Erase” , choose Volume Format as “MAC OS Extended (Journaled), and click Erase, again if fails, skip it and go to 4

4. Same as step 3, but open the “Security Options….” and choose “Zero Out Data” before click Erase. It will take 1 to 2 hours to complete.

5. Eject your iPod and do a Reset

6. Open the iPod Updater and click “Restore”

2. For Windows computer:

1. Go to folder “My Computer”

2. Hope you can see your iPod there and right click on the iPod

3. Choose “Format”. Ensure the settings are at “Default” and that “Quick Format” is not checked

4. Now select “Format”

5. Eject your iPod and do a Reset

6. Open the iPod Updater and click “Restore”

7. In case you do not manage to do a “Format” on a window computer, try to use some 3rd party disk utility software, e.g.“Partition Magic”.

3. Windows users having trouble with their iPods should locate a Mac user. In many cases when an iPod won’t show up on a PC that it will show up on the Mac. Then it can be restored. When the PC user returns to his computer the iPod will be recognized by the PC, reformatted for the PC, and usable again. By the way, it works in reverse too. A Mac user often can get his iPod back by connecting it to a PC and restoring it. Note:* It does not matter whether the format is completed or not, the key is to erase (or partly) the corrupted firmware files on the Hard Drive of the iPod. After that, when the iPod re-connected with a computer, it will be recognized as an fresh external hard drive, it will show up on the iPod updater.* It is not a difficult issue for a Mac user to find a window base computer, for a PC user, if they can’t find any Mac user, they can go to a nearest Apple Shop for a favor.* You may need to switch around the PC and Mac, try to do several attempts between “Format” and “Restore”

11. iPod still doesn’t work? Keep going with these steps.

* Diagnostic mode solution:

o If you have tried trouble shooting your iPod to no avail after all the steps above, chances are your iPod has a hardware problem. The iPod’s built-in Diagnostic Mode is a quick and easy way to determine if you have a “bad” iPod.

o You need to restart your iPod before putting it into Diagnostic Mode. Check that your hold switch is off by sliding the switch away from the headphone jack. Toggle it on and off to be safe.

o Press and hold the following combination of buttons simultaneously for approximately 10 seconds to reset the iPod.

+ iPod 1G to 3G: “Menu” and “Play/Pause”

+ iPod 4G+ (includes Photo, Nano, Video, and Mini): “Menu” and “Select”

o The Apple logo will appear and you should feel the hard drive spinning up. Press and hold the following sequence of buttons:

+ iPod 1G to 3G: “REW”, “FFW” and “Select”

+ iPod 4G+ (includes Photo, Nano, Video, and Mini): “Back” and “Select”

o You will hear an audible chirp sound (3G models and higher) and the Apple logo should appear backwards. You are now in Diagnostic Mode. Navigate the list of tests using “REW” and “FFW”. The scroll wheel will not function while in diagnostic mode. For further details on Diagnostic mode can be found at http://www.methodshop.com/mp3/ipodsupport/diagnosticmode/

o Try to do the 5in1, HDD R/W and HDD scan tests. Some successful cases have been reported after the running the few tests under the Diagnostic mode. In case it does not work in your case, and the scan tests reports show some errors then it proves your iPod has a hardware problem and it needs a repairing service.

* Format your iPod with a start disk:

o I have not tried this solution myself, I heard that there were few successful cases that the users managed to get their iPod (you must put your iPod in disk mode before connecting with a computer) mounted by the computer, which was booted by a system startup disk. For Mac, you can use the Disk Utility (on the Tiger OS system disk), for PC user, you can use the window OS system disk. Try to find a way to reformat your iPod, again it does not matter which format (FAT32, NTFS or HFS+) you choose, the key is to erase the corrupted system files on the iPod. Then eject your iPod and do a Reset to switch out from Disk Mode. Reboot your computer at the normal way, connect your iPod back with it, open the iPod updater, and hopefully your iPod will appear there for the Restore.

12. The next tutorial will teach you how to open up your iPod and attempt to fix it. This should probably be done as a last resort, for opening your iPod will most likely void your warranty. In addition, if executed wrong, your iPod may sustain permanant damage while your problem may have ben easily aided by other processes.

* The best tutorial I’ve read on how to open an iPod is here: http://forums.ipodlounge.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=93789/

13. That tutorial is how to open a 3rd/4th Generation iPod, although most are similarly done. Google it if you’re not satisfied and want more detail; there are a lot of great sites out there.

* Once inside, there are a number of methods you can use that have all been used to fix iPod problems. Make sure the hold switch is on! You don’t want to hit a button and mess something up! The methods will be listed in order of how successful I believe they are.

14. Disconnecting the Hard Drive and Booting Method.

1. Now that your iPod is open, you should see your hard drive lying flat on top. The ribbon cable attached to the hard drive is detachable, so don’t be scared.

2. Gently pull the hard drive away from the cable in which it’s connected, while holding the cable lightly in hand. You don’t want to rip it out the motherboard.

3. Your hard drive should easily break free. Now that it’s out, you can play with it, look around, but the point is to give it a little rest.

4. Next, now that the hard drive is out, carefully flip your iPod over so you’re looking at the screen. Be careful not to rip the ribbon cable by the hold switch.

5. Take the iPod off of hold function, thus enabling the buttons once again.

6. Turn the iPod on. You may recieve an error message, and you may be able to access menus.

1. If you get an error message, try restarting the iPod.

7. Now turn the iPod off.

8. Reactivate the hold switch. Your experiment is complete.

9. Reconnect the hard drive as found before, and carefully replace the back cover. Hope it works.

15. Business Card Method.

1. Now that your iPod is open, you should see your hard drive lying flat on top.

2. Take a regular business card and fold it in half.

3. Place the folded business card on top of the hard drive. (The idea is that your iPod’s hard drive is too loose and the folded business card will put pressure on it when enclosed for a successful spin and no click. This works often). Don’t fold it more than once unless you have a reason, because more pressure on the hard drive may keep it from spinning, causing even more problems.

4. Carefully place the lid back on the iPod, making sure the card is in place correctly.

5. Close up your iPod and hope it works.

16. Time to Spend Some $$ Method.

1. Get a job.

2. You probably have a hardware problem (like me), and you probably need a new hard drive. Google it. eBay it. A regular replacement hard drive isn’t as much as a new iPod, but you’ll have to shell out a couple bucks if you want it fixed.

3. Look at it as an opportunity to upgrade. Maybe look into buying a bigger hard drive to hold more useless shit. It’ll still cost less than a new iPod.

4. Read above for info on how to replace your hard drive. It’s not hard.

5. Pray it’s a hard drive problem after you bought one and can’t return it.

17. If you’ve read this far, you’ve tried everything, and your iPod still isn’t fixed, then ask someone else already. You’ve been up all night reading this tutorial and trying my methods and you’re probably sick of this anyway. Or just steal your friend’s iPod.

Tips

* Make sure that the iPod has enough battery power to turn on.

* An alternative is open up your iPod (which voids the warranty) and squeeze the drive and it’s enclosing padding. There is apparently some grounding that can come loose and this can fix things up again. This worked for me and a friend and if you are very careful when you open the case, it is less violent than smacking it around.

* You can also go to an Apple store and ask to replace the battery! They are happy to help you!

* Don’t steal your friend’s iPod.

Warnings

* Before trying these methods, contact Apple and see if you can get your iPod replaced for free.

* This method should only be as a last resort. If Apple’s suggestions do not work, first try running a chkdsk function on your iPod.

* Do not break the hard drive!

Buying the Best Camera Cell Phone

February 9th, 2009
Jhoana Cooper asked:

Many modern cell phones are fully equipped and their improved features may convince every user. For instance, there are plenty of cell phones equipped with digital cameras that can claim that they are the best ones on the current market. However, if you are planning to buy a cell phone, you should take your time and shop around in order to find the most reasonable and quality deals. Rushing into buying the first cell phone you see is not a wise choice. Therefore, you need to know that the simple presence of the digital cameras is not likely to prove the quality of a cell phone.

Every camera cell phone should provide the user with some extra features in order for him to have all his needs met. For instance, the cell phone must be provided with all the features that may allow the user to do something with all the pictures that were already taken by the digital cameras incorporated in the cell phones. Some of the latest versions of the camera cell phone are likely to include the improved ability to email all the pictures that were taken by the camera. Some of these cell phones may allow the user to see the pictures and set them as a sort of wallpaper. The cell phone should also have an enhanced capacity to store a large amount of pictures. Its memory should be improved in order for the pictures to be stored for a longer period of time.

The digital cameras must be of excellent quality in order for the user to have all his needs met when using the cell phone. For instance, the camera should provide the user with a great ability to store a large amount of pictures. The pictures must be quality ones and the camera must have the ability to take and zoom the pictures. Even the ability to capture various moving pictures should be included in the menu in order for the user to be able to use the cell phone and its camera whenever he feels like it even if he is constantly moving. The recent development of the cell phones provided the current market with greater possibilities when it comes to choosing a cell phone that may meet your requirements.

The technologically advanced devices are to be preferred but you will have to compare all the available prices and products in order to make the wisest choice. Still, there are plenty of differences when it comes to comparing the traditional digital camera to the one that is incorporated in the cell phone. The pictures that are provided by the cell phone are likely to have a smaller resolution and less focus and you may decide to buy yourself a standard digital camera in order to fulfill your wishes when it comes to taking quality pictures. Still, the cameras that are incorporated in the cell phones may provide the user with acceptable quality especially if the screen is a good color one.

You can transform each of your pictures into a brilliant memory because the pictures can be stored in the memory of the cell phone. Therefore, you may prefer the camera cell phone because it is easier to use. You will not need to spend extra money buying yourself a digital camera because the cell phone may perform similar tasks without demanding too much. When buying the cell phone, you will be provided with a detailed guide in order for you to learn how to use its menu.

Each of its features will be explained and nothing is going to be complicated when using the cell phone. You will become accustomed to all its features and you will be taking pictures in no time because the latest metamorphosed cell phones can provide you with fantastic handsets that are easy to used and enriched with splendid features. The cell phone is likely to become one of your most important devices in your life and you will have to take time when looking for the right version. The best thing to do is to go online and start looking for the reliable providers that can offer you reasonable deals and quality products and services.
